Meest International Charitable Foundation is part of the Meest Global Postal and Logistics Group.
In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Canada experienced a major wave of emigration from Ukraine for economical reasons. All the emigrants had many relatives back in Ukraine, and all of the immigrants wanted to keep that connection alive. So Meest was established in Toronto in 1989 to ship parcels from Canada to Ukraine.
Over 30 years Meest has grown into a global postal and logistics group of companies that operate in more than 50 countries. Yet supporting Ukrainians around the world is still Meest's main mission.
In order to help Ukrainians and various initiatives in Ukraine, the international charity foundation "Meest" was created. The main main mission of the Foundation is to support Ukraine, Ukrainian people and organizations fulfill their social, cultural and humanitarian projects.
